Surfcaster’s Journal Now Available on the Internet for
Free
Surfcasters now have a unique free magazine of their own:
The Surfcaster’s Journal. This magazine can be found only on the Internet. It
will not be published, or printed or available on your local news stand.
Articles are written by and for surfcasters. The first edition hit the Internet
on
The Surfcaster’s Journal was developed by Zeno Hromin, the author of two recent books devoted to surf fishing: “The Art of Surfcasting with Lures” and “The Hunt for Big Stripers.” Zeno has contributed many articles to the “Fisherman” and “On the Water” magazines. The current issue contains a biographical article written by a surfcaster/soldier stationed in Iraq. There is a profile of Bonnie Veder, the caretaker of the famous Cuttyhunk Fishing Club in Massachusetts and features her fish chowder recipe. There is an interview with Gary Soldati of Big Waters Lures. Rich Troxler writes about his adventures fishing the bridges of the south shore of Long Island. Steve McKenna of Rhode Island writes about using deep-running, metal lip swimming plugs. These are only a few of the articles in this first issue.
The Surfcaster's Journal Blog (www.surfcastersjournal.com/blog) which debuted two months ago, will serve as your daily fishing fix in the cold months ahead. With daily posts from members of the Surfcaster's Journal team that inform, educate and entertain, the Blog is quickly becoming one of the most visited places on the internet by surfcasters. Like the Journal, the Blog is also free and features tackle giveaways, spirited discussion, fish-catching tips, videos and photography.
The Surfcaster’s Journal magazine will appear quarterly. Zeno Hromin welcomes stories and articles from readers.
