Dennis Money To Be At Wild Center Monday, August 2nd at 11a.m.
The Wild Center will welcome Remy, the new river otter who has come to
the Center from the Pittsburgh Zoo. Remy will join Louie, Squirt and
Squeaker in the newly expanded otter exhibit at The Wild Center. He
will be introduced to the public by Dennis Money, the person who
launched the New York River Otter Project in 1995. Remy's first day
will also mark the 15th Anniversary of the NYROP. 279 river otters,
most of them trapped in the Adirondacks, were successfully released as
part of a major New York restoration project. Money, who also launched
the Rochester area peregrine falcon restoration project, will be
available for questions on the success of the river otter project and
will speak about his experience restoring species in New York as part
of the Center's Return of the Wild exhibit.
