| Aug. 22, 2010 - Second edition of Deer Hunting in the Adirondacks by Dan Ladd Expanded from 168 to 192 pages, updated information on public lands in the Adirondack Forest Preserve, additional material on getting your buck out of the woods, venison preperation and cooking, a special section just for beginning hunters and new photos. Aug. 21, 2010 -Free fishing clinics at Wellesley Island State Park, September 4, 2010 Contact: Minna Anthony Nature Center, 315-482-2479. Local author and outdoor writer Spider Rybaak will conduct a free fly-fishing class at the park’s Minna Anthony Common Nature Center on September 4, 2010.Participants should assemble at the Nature Center by 1:30 p.m. The lesson will be held at the dock, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.Equipment donated by Shakespeare, Cortland Line Co., and flies by Morgan Lyle will be provided for the lessons, free of charge.Anyone over 16 years of age must have a valid NYS fishing license.A $7.00 vehicle admission fee is charged to enter the park.Spider will have copies of his books, "Fishing Eastern New York" and "Fishing Western New York", available for sale. Erie Canal across New York State this summer. I will be running a Blog as we
ride from Buffalo, NY to Albany, NY, exploring other related canal trails along
